Filthy! The dinning area was so dirty we could not find a single clean table, large chunks of food and old means lined the floors and tables. We talked to the manager but she said she was sorry for the condition the place was in but she had everyone on break for 30 minutes and those that did not go on break had been busy "Counting pecans" whatever that means. They did refund us and we left without food do to the filth.

With all the Panera's around town, I was shocked to see how everyone flocked to this location on opening day as if they were giving out free money. Maybe they were. I skipped the first week lines, but have been in twice since they opened. It seems they're still figuring things out (they were out of coffee my first visit, out of cream cheese my second visit). Still, the service is very friendly and the food very good. Plus, we can finally get a bagel in Castle Rock without going to the grocery store. That alone makes me a fan!

I have eaten here twice (BIG MISTAKE) and both times I wished I hadn't. It's too expensive for just a sandwich shop. Just like a very expensive counter order shop. You even have to get your own drinks. I'll definitely give it a two thumbs down and,as for two stars, that is stretching it. Sorry Panera bread. I just love busing my own table. If I only got a tip. Also their drinks are too expensive. Not much better than a burger joint. Save your money folks!

I've worked here, and would never recommend it!! Its a nightmare! The managers do not treat their employees with respect, and aren't even that respectful to the customers. However, I still go regularly, as I do enjoy a good sandwich every now and then, and the employees are super nice, and wonderful to their customers. The place is normally dirty, and the managers need to focus on the service, rather than time and money!

What you would normally expect from Panera is what you will get here. This location is HORRIBLE as the parking lot was designed by an IDIOT, but that isn't their fault so I wont deduct a star for it. This place always seems to be packed beyond belief. Every Saturday there is a line out the door. The food is usual. It doesn't blow my mind but its never disappointing coming in for a bread bowl of soup or a quick sandwich with coffee. Glad to have one in Castle Rock.

Panera in General has disappointed me lately, but Castle Rock, really? I ordered a roast turkey BLT and asked it to be toasted. As I picked up, first asking for butter, was directed to the condiment station, where not only was there two warm butters in the bottom of the deep bin waayyy in the back of the condiments, but as I reached, I stained my blouse with all the junk that was on the counter. Now I had to get lemon for my tea. The lemon was in the warm bin next to the butter. Surprise. Disgusting beat up lemon. Four could barely equate to a wedge. Back to picking up my sandwich.... It didn't look toasted, I touched it, it was a little warm as if microwaved. I told the girl I asked for it toasted. She said it IS toasted, do I want her to toast it again? Well, no, toast first would have been great, but this is the 3rd te this has happened to me. I am niw an avid Yelper. So warm distinguishing lemons and warm butter that should always be served cold, dirty counters, during a slow period by the way, and people not willing to follow instructions lead me to a poor rating.

YAY!!! REAL FOOD HERE IN CASTLE ROCK!!! Finally, other options for our out-of-town guests other than Applebee's or Fast Food. :) Sooooo this location ; parking is tough when you have a big truck. Inside, the patrons are so IN A HURRY, god forbid you don't know what you want -- and with the patrons rushing & stressing (which was weird), it makes the cashiers feel like they have to rush you too. :-( I've found the drive-thru is much easier, less stress, faster, and the menu is straight forward with friendlier, more relaxed service. Their food is just as great as all the other Panera's I've been to - their Asiago Sandwich is to-die-for. Yummeh!!

Love the food at Panera but this one never gets our order right and I'm not ordering anything unusual - just directly off of their menu. I often go through the drive through and have learned to double-check my order before leaving. It's extremely frustrating to get all of the way home and realize that they only gave one out of two items for your Pick 2 order, or didn't give you any bread, or gave you soup but not in a bread bowl as ordered. If I'm picking up food for my family, it's because I don't have a lot of time to put into dinner so driving all the way back to fix my order due to a careless employee is frustrating.

When I pay nearly $9.00 for a salad, I expect perfection. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken at the drive through window. What I received was a box full wilted lettuce sans chicken. What a disappointment.

Wow, what a zoo. Today (5/2/12) was the grand opening and people were stacked on top of each other trying to get in. This place has a drive through that I was thinking about stopping at but, it was 10+ cars long so, I just drove by. Very cool idea having a drive through for Panera! They have some specials with the opening. These are for 2012... Thursday, May 3rd & Friday, May 4th: Purchase a You Pick Two® or a NEW Pasta Entrée and receive a $5 Panera Bread Gift Card** Saturday, May 5th & Sunday, May 6th: 10 am: First 100 customers each day will receive a Panera Bread Mystery Gift Card** (with purchase).

Worst part of this panera is parking lit. Had my worst experience on Monday, understaffed and poorly trained. Food made it worth while!

This Panera gets 2 stars on food alone, and zero stars for service. My order is consistently wrong. I have stopped going through the drive thru because I've driven away one two many times with incomplete orders. I'm generally quite fond of Panera, but this location just cannot seem to get with it. It's truly disappointing.

I am not a fan of this panera... I've now tried to go here not once, not twice, but 3 times this week in an attempt to satisfy my craving for their delectable fall goodness of a soup: the autmn squash. However, my hopes fizzled out and my attempts missed to boat 3 different times. Now mind you, I haven't been going at rush hour or the end of the day, and expecting this popular item to still be around, nor did I throw a fit and make a scene when it wasn't available (even though it is crack, diamonds, and gold in the warmest, most soothing liquid form possible). I went around 6 on a Monday and it was slow, then 2:30, 3ish the following two days, hoping to make it before dinner hits, since my first attempt was at dinner time. Now I am not a business major, but common knowledge for running a successful business is developing a model based on supply and demand... If something is running out halfway through the day regularly, why not make more?? 7-year-olds running lemonade stands even understand this concept! I would maybe give them another star or two had the customer service been better. However, I have gone to this Panera before, and they were very snooty and unknowledgeable. As someone with Celiac, I have to eat gluten free. I know it can be a pain, but I wouldn't be high maintenance if I didn't have to be. When asking them what is gluten free, I've either gotten a very perplexed "um, I don't know" or a disgruntled "uhhh i guesss ill check if i havvvveeee to" kinda vibe. Very off-putting. Then, with this soup incident, each time I went, the staff were very rude, as though I were asking them to leave their shift, wander 100 miles on foot with nothing but a Chewy bar and a plastic butter knife, forage the ingredients in the depths of the wilderness, fight off a bear or two, and return back in a day's time. Guess what Castle Rock, I bet you the Panera downtown off of Grant St. would have done it for me, AND made dessert. I wasn't expecting much, just a bit of soup...

I'm not going to lie...I was very disappointed in this Panera. We waited at least 15-20 minutes for just one Mediterranean Chicken Flatbread sandwich. The sandwich was mostly lettuce and salad dressing. There was very little chicken in the thing. Not good at all. I have had excellent service and food at other locations, but this one was subpar at best.

It wasn't the best panera. It was the end of the shift for the lady that helped us. She was nice but pretty worn out. The soup was good. The sandwiches had wayyy too much mayo. The reason for the low stars is cleanliness. It wasn't very clean. The women's bathroom was gross. :( They need air fresheners and someone checking the bathroom a few times a day.

Creamy tomato soup was delicious. Crunchy kale salad and baguette were awesome. Not sure why the low ratings but I also haven't read the reviews. The food was great and the views spectacular. We will return.

Pulled up to this location 5 minutes before there scheduled closing time (8PM / Sunday night) and the door was already locked. Made eye contact through the window with an employee, in which he gave a "sorry, sort of sarcastic smirk" as if to say, sorry your to late. Even though they should not have been closed or the door locked for another 5 minutes. He then went on to mock us to his co-workers, very unprofessional. We will NOT be returning to this location, very disappointing. Good thing there are much better and customer-friendly Panera Bread locations in Denver, but if you happen to be in the Castle Rock area and craving it... steer clear, unless you desire unpleasant staff and dining experiences (or lack there of).

I like Panera but this low review is for the broth bowls. The food is great but I am very disappointed in the quantity of broth and food in the bowl. If you are going to use a large bowl at least fill it.

Love this place especially in the winter. Their soups are delicious. Rcmd the half sandwich and soup. (or salad) You may want to take home some of their wonderful artisan breads. Service is always exceptional, atmosphere conducive to easy conversation, the food basic but delicious, and, importantly, inexpensive. Summertime is the time to relax and enjoy a great salad on their patio and enjoy the vistas of the Rocky Mountains laid out before you. A great addition to our Castle Rock fast food (or at your leisure) dining scene.

They PRE-MAKE their sandwiches early in the morning so they can handle the rush for lunch and make more money! Unfortunately the sandwiches end up soggy from the tomatoes and wet lettuce, and the bread about the thickness of a dime. I ordered 7 sandwiches for a business meeting and really offended all my clients by serving them something that looked like it had been through a garbage disposal. When you pile 50 sandwiches on top of each other, the bottom ones are going to be squished flat and ugly. While their menu looks great, their game plan for serving fresh food sucks. If you have to go there, don't order ahead like I did. I think the drive through gives you the pre-made sandwiches as well! In the off hours you may get luck and get a made to order sandwich, but the risk is not worth the wait!

The staff is what ruins this place, if you tell them no lettuce on a sandwich it comes with lettuce. When you get your sandwich you have to rebuild it because its always slopped together. We will drive to another location to avoid going to this one because they suck so bad. The food orders are ALWAYS wrong, I can tell you any time we have wen to this location it has NEVER been right

I just had an awesome experience through the Panera drive-through. Maryanne was extremely helpful, thoughtful and precise with my order. This location is going to become my go to spot. The food was tasty and soups were hot.

Went thru the drive thru and didn't get what we ordered and was charged for. When I called to talk to the manager she said she would send me something. Been waiting almost 3 weeks and still nothing.

Very disappointed in my visit tonight at this location. Service was slow and they were out of bread bowls, and baguettes. How do you run out of bread bowls on a Saturday night at 6 PM? Very frustrating to put up with rather sub par service.

No problem here! We were sat promptly, and our breakfast was ready very quickly. I only wish we had sat outside, as it was a beautiful day. If you need silverware, you will need to ask for it, as there is none accessible otherwise. The coffee was hot, not bitter, and a great way to start the day!

$30 bucks for 2 adult meals and a kid meal. Both meals were just ok, and we didn't even get drinks. The portions were so small it was more like eating a 1/3 of a sandwich and my husband got a bag of chips with his meal that was worth .60 from a vending machine. I would think they could do better then that. At least give your customers a handful of chips on the side of your plate like most cafés if that's the look you are going for. We won't be back unless everything else is closed and that a big if. The only enjoyable thing was the cookie my son had. Also the you pick two menu use to be a great value- two items mixed for $6-7 bucks now it depends on what you ordered my meal was $10. Forgot to mention the old leafs in my salad...gross.

We've eaten at this location 5-7 times in the last few months - we've moved to CR 7 months ago and are flipping a home which is taking more time than we ever imagined. each time we visit Panera we encounter the large female 'non-help person' behind the counter - close to rude - too lazy to actually move or ask - may I help you - we've encountered her each time we are there - seriously I'm surprised she continues to be employed. Second time to be visit when they are out of clean silverware - today they were out of butter!!! ALL help is seriously lacking in protocol. We decided that we would NEVER return here - mediocrity food to boot.

Every time....EVERY time...this place gets my order wrong. How hard is it to leave something off? No cheese means " Don't put cheese on this item" waits for food take forever here. if it weren't for the tasty food I would not eat here. Perhaps others know something I don't because rarely is there another car in the drive thru. Definately not run as well as other Paneras. Something internally is a miss.

Not sure what is up with this particular Panera. They have a great location but everything goes downhill from there. We frequent the Greenwood Village and Highlands Ranch locations on a regular basis which always have fast service and food is almost always good. Have now been to this location 3 times and need to stop torturing ourselves. Service has always phenomenally slow, as in order a bagel with cream cheese and wait 10 minutes for it although the restaurant was almost empty and workers were standing around everywhere and there was only one order ahead of us. All three times the food has been awful, which I didn't think was possible at Panera. This location needs help!
